4. Honouring noted Musicians and Fine Art Artists with annual "Dilrang" Award. (Dilrang Sangeet Samman)

5. Expansion of "Parampara" Music Festival to other cities of India.

6. Publishing of important books on "Music Information" and "Music History", from private sources.

7. Collection and release of old archival music of seniormost music stalwarts, from all sources.

8. The Academy is helping for arranging and organising groups and music troupes to Foreign Countries, as per the requirements and demand of the music institutions outside the country (Arrangement of the artists).

9. Arrangement of "Two or Three Monthly Concerts" on a regular basis, by the Academy.

10. Holding of "Parampara" music festival on a very big scale, every year.

11. Instituting a music school namely the Dilrang Academy's School of Indian Music.

12. Academy also has plans to build an Auditorium namely Dilrang Academy's Auditorium. It is a proposal if passed promoted & supported.

13. Creating a network of artists from all field of music to make sure the availability of artists for Parampara festival and other music events in the countries and abroad.

14. Creating and developing a reputed school of music and fine art in Mumbai.

15. The Dilrang Academy has an early plan to organise seminars and workshops on the famous AGRA GHARANA as well as other famous Gharanas.

16. The Academy's immediate plan is to record and release famous Bandishes (compositions) of the present performing vocalists of Agra Gharana, Atrauli (Jaipur) Gharana, Khurja Gharana and Delhi Tanras Khan Gharana on MP3 discs. There is a huge number of Classical bandishes of old music stalwarts preserved by the present day generation of these Gharanas. In the release, the compositions of "Dilrang" will be highlighted. The Bandishes and Ragas sung will also be printed with notations and details alongwith the MP3 discs. This project needs an appropriate finance and sponsorship.

17. Dilrang Academy has organised tours for many performing artists & groups and has tremendous capacity to arrange all types and categories of artists for national and international programmes.

18. The Academy has also a very big plan to release rare recording of the veteran vocalists of the legendary music Gharanas of yesteryears, which are in its possession.

19. Dilrang Academy has a bulk of rare and memorable photographs of the music stalwarts of the famous Agra Gharana, Atrauli(Jaipur) Gharana, Khurja Gharana and many contemporary Gharanas. These have been preserved by the Academy and have also been exhibited, some of them through some of the major music organisatious in India.

The academy is looking for a piece of land (3000-4000 Sq.feet) for the construction of Music school. The help to get land from government or from private sources for the proposed music school will be highly appreciated.

Generous help from music lovers is expected to fulfill the academy's objective which is creating a permanent mark to save the ancient tradition of Indian classical music that will go a long way in the history of Indian classical music.

An Ardent Appeal

Indian Classical Music has always been associated with its deep and rich heritage. In its 800 years old traceable tradition, Indian music has produced countless gems and their traditions are spread over many Gharanas.

The Dilrang Academy of Music and Fine Arts, is planning to publish a book to honour one such extraordinary gem, who has achieved an enviable position in the history of traditional Indian Classical music, Gayan Samrat Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan "Dilrang" (1911-1975). An extraordinary vocalist, sensitive poet, teacher and musicologist, his contribution towards the development of India's Music Tradition and towards increasing popularity of Classical Indian Music and poetry is monumental.

Originally hailing from the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana, Khan Sahab due to ties of marriage also had links with the Khurja, Agra and Delhi Tanaras Khan, Gharanas.

The book our academy proposes to publish is Khan Sahab's own extensive memories, which highlight:

1. Insightful anecdotes about some of our greatest musicians of all times.
2. Over a hundred "Bandishes" (compositions) by great musicians like Miyan Mohammad Hussain "Tansen" , Hazrat Amir Khusrau, Ustad Zahoor Baksh Khan "Ramdas" , Ustad Allahdiya Khan "Ahmed Piya", Ustad Mehboob Khan "Daraspiya", Ustad Tanras Khan and many others.
3. The origin and evolution of other Gharanas in general and Jaipur-Atrauli, Khurja and Agra Gharanas in particular.

This book will not only be an autobiography of Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan Sahab, but will also offer valuable and authentic references and information on the evolution of India's rich musical heritage and tradition. This book will be very useful to music lovers, musicologist and will be an excellent guide to future generation of music lovers.

This book tentatively titled "Journey into Musical Century" will be of 250 pages and we expect that the printing cost of the same will be around Rs.300,000.00., approximately. Contributions in full or part towards the publishing of this book will be tax exempt under section 80G, and the academy will suitably acknowledge all donors in the book. Your contribution towards this cause will help us in our endeavour to increase musical awareness and understanding of the Indian Classical Music. We have also the publishing material ready on the all time great music stalwarts of different traditional Gharanas.

"Dilrang academy has very strongly planned to celebrate 3rd march 2011 as the birth centenary year of the legendary vocalist Gayan Samrat Ustad Azmat Hussain Khan Dilrang. A three days music festival will be organized in which some of the topmost artists will participate and pay homage to "Miyan Dilrang". The approximate, expected, expenditure to be incurred will be Rs.25 Lacs plus.
